Tour operator achieves impressive growth at Compass Point

07-Aug-2008

Diamond Shortbreak Holidays Ltd has increased its staff base by more than 50 per cent since moving to Anson House, a brand new two-storey building at Compass Point business park in Market Harborough.

The company – which specialises in coach and river cruise holidays for the mature market – was one of the first companies to move into the high specification offices built by developer Boden Properties. As a result of close coordination between Diamond Holidays and Boden Properties during the build and fit out of the offices, the holiday company has expanded into the new space with ease.

Kevin Riley, managing director of Diamond Holidays, feels the newly built offices meet both the current and future needs of the company.

“The business has expanded to meet the needs of our clients and in turn we required an office space that would meet the needs of our growing team,” he explained. “We have already taken on 12 new staff and are looking to expand further as the business continues to grow.

“The offices at Compass Point are a higher specification than any others we looked at in the Market Harborough area. Features such as movement sensitive lighting are helping us to be more energy efficient and air conditioning within each partitioned area helps us provide the best possible working environment.

“It was also important that there be the potential to expand further within the same location. Compass Point was ideal as we have the option of purchasing additional offices in the future. Boden were very accommodating of our needs during the building process and we would buy from them again.”

Paul Burnett, director of sales and marketing at Boden Properties, commented: “It is exciting to see the level of growth that Diamond Holidays has experienced since moving to Compass Point and we are pleased to welcome the company to the development.

“Other companies that have already taken up offices are also benefiting from the high quality working environment that the business park provides.”
